[WANGANUI SECOND DAY TWO FAVOURITES SCORE MEDIAN AND GLENYANE SUCCESS OF K. VOITRE Only two favourites, Midian and Glenrane, wero successful on tho concluding dnv of tho Wanganui Jockey Club's Spring Meeting on Saturday. However, thero were no real surprises, and the second fancies did fairly well, Teller and Bambury winning, and Henry of Navarro, Gay Court and La Moderno running second. Tflo best dividend of tho day was returned by Glowlight, who was tlio outsider of tlio field in tho Moutoa Hack Handicap,,' and gave her supporters a double-figures return. - Ono of tho features of the racing was Me successful riding of the Dominion's leading horseman, IC. Voitro, who had two firsts, a second and another first in four successive mounts. Altogether Voitre rode four winners and a second at tho meeting, and his tally of wins for the season now numbers ten, which is over i,vice that of any other horseman. The totalisator returns for the day were £9388, compared with £9707 on tho second day last year. Tho total investments for tlie meeting amounted to £16,234 for fifteen races, as against £17,205 for sixteen races last year, a decreaso of £972.
