FIREMEN'S REUNION
MANY VETERANS PRESENT There was a largo attendance at the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Fire Brigades and Salvage Corps' Association of New Zealand on Saturday evening. The president, Mr. E. Paterson, in welcoming the members, referred to the largo number of vetorans present, and mado particular mention of Captain W. Field, of the Salvage Corps. Tho Auckland City Council was represented by Mr. M. J. Coyle, who apologised for tho absence of tho Mayor, Mr. . W. Hutchison. „ .
Proceedings wero entirely rnform.al, tho guests being entertained by a number of vocalists and elocutionists, including Messrs. J. Calvert, W. Purcell, A. Austin, Harroway, Foreshaw, Dobbs, Molval, Walker, D. Eowes and Massey.'
