MANUKAU AMATEUR CLUB Heavy rairi prevailed on Saturday when the Mannkau Amateur Cycling Club decided its two road events an Avon dale South. Six juniors competed in their race of 10 miles, ■which resulted as follows:—-J. Brown (ecr). riding time 2Sm 21s, 1; E. L. G. Hughes ■ (scr), 28m 225, 2; A. Davies (4m 30s), 32ni 535, 3; J. H. Thirty members have enteved for the" provincial championship event which, will be decided by the Auckland "Cycling Centre? next Saturday over a course extending from Devonport, vipv Biveriead, to the WesternSprings. The Auckland Cycle Club held a 201 miles race at Tamaki on Saturday under wet conditions. Following were the results « J. Sampson, 8m 30s, 1; P. Bicknell, din 30s, 2: C. ißae, 4:m, 3: J, Cooney, lm 30s, 4. Time, 65m 40s. J. Cooney registered fastest time in 59m ss.

AUCKLAND AMATEUR, CLUB Ba-d weather conditions were experienced for the Atickland Amateur Cycle Club's 25 miles race held on Saturday. Following were the results^—lf. TAKAPUNA AMATEUR CLUB The Takapuna Amateur Cycle Club held a combined junior and senior race over 231 miles on Saturday. Following were the results^: —A. Lydford (6m), 64m 51s, 1; G-. HUNDRED MILES RACE GROSE MAKES FASTEST TIME

The hundred miles amateur cycling road race held over the round-the-Gorges course yesterday was won by R. B. Blakeway, 0828 minutes, by a length from R. B. Calder. P. J. Grose, who finished fourth, won the road championship by making fastest tims. Tho placed riders were:—R. B. Blakewsj (28m), 5h lm 2 3-ss, 1; R. B. Calder (40ml. 5h 13m 3s, 2; J.
