SCHOOL MARKSMEN
SUCCESSES AT WHANGAREI [FROM 017R OWN CORRESPONDENT] WHANGAREI, Saturday A presentation of marksmen's badges to the successful cadets in the school team which shot in the Imperial Challenge Shield competition for 1931, was made at a parade of the Whangarei High School cadets.
In making the presentations the principal, Mr. A. R. Ryder, congratulated the school unit on the success attained, which, he said, should act as an incentive to further effort. S
The following cadets received badges:— Sergeant C. Lewis, score 92; Company-Sergeant-Major D. Jack, 90; Sergeant M. T. Waters, 90.
The following received badges as "firstclass" shots:—Sergeant P. Ross, score 88; Cadets P. Worsp, 88; Mcßeath, 85. Badges were also awarded to the following, who are no longer at the High School and have joined territorial units:—Cadet H. Wilson, score 86; Cadet D. Boreham, 89.
