WATERSIDERS' DISPUTE
NO WORK AT NAPIER DOMINION SETTLEMENT AWAITED [BT TELEGRAPH—PRESS ASSOCIATION] NAPIER, Saturday The waterside workers did not respond to calls this morning, thus holding up the Kini, Paua, Waimea and Waipiata. The men worked a vessel that was proceeding to Wairoa with relief stores. It is understood that the Napier men will not resume until a Dominion settlement is reached. TROUBLE AT GISBORNE NEW RATES DECLINED

No labour offered for tho discharge of the Pakura, which arrived to-day from Napier. It is understood that the watersiders are supporting the claims of the Napier unionists for tho old award rates of pay. Two gangs, comprising .32 men, were wanted to-day, but when the unionists discovered that the new rates were offered work was declined.
