Mosley, S.M., to-day Herbert Edwin Bairnsley, aged 52, accountant, was charged that on July 22 lie received 27s and fraudulently omitted to account for 18s of that sum, thereby committing theft. AceustSl was remanded until September 29 in order that further inquiries may be made. Bali w£s allowed.
Tho police said the case was a peculiar one and certain alleged receipts were said to be forgeries. Barnsley had been connected with 'the Labour Defence League.
