Bradman, who is employed at a sports emporium, recently signed a contract to supply articles to a Sydney newspaper. This afternoon Bradman dropped a bombshell in cricketing circles in regard to the player-writer ban when ho declared: " If the Board of Control has said its last word it, means that 1 shall not be available for test cricket. I have signed a contract to write articles and I must observe it.

" I cannot allow cricket to interfero with my work. Unless the State has a similar rule I shall at least bo able to play for New. South Wales.'' The Sun, with which Bradman has contracted for the series of articles, announces in its last edition: "The Sun will not stand unreasonably in the way of Bradman playing in test cricket." BOARD OF CONTROL CHOICE OF TEST PLAYERS COMMITTEE APPOINTED SYDNEY, Sept. 23 The Australian Cricket Board of Control has decided that Australia's test teams this season shall be chosen by a committee of three, namely, Dr. Dolling (South Australia), Mr. W. Johnson (Victoria) and Mr. E. Dwyer (New South Wales). The board rejected a proposal- by the New South Wales Cricket Association to urge the Marylebone Cricket Club to agree to eight-ball overs in the forthcoming tests, Marylebone already having opposed the proposal.

In connection with Grimmett's book on cricket, a committee reported to the board that it had come to the conclusion that Grinimett had not committed any breach of his agreement.
