ALL FOOTBALL CODES GOLF CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS The programme of sporting attractions for this afternoon includes the final match for the Thistle Cup in the League football senior grade competition, between City and Devonport at Carlaw Park. Both teams have equal points in the competition. Matches in the senior A anct B grade Rugby football competition will be decided, the principal senior game being between University and Ponsonby at Eden Park. Association football teams from H.M.S. Diomede and H.M.S. Dunedin, which had previously met and drawn, will play again at Blandford Park- The most important match, of the hockey season, for the Kent Cup. will be played at Remuera between Somerville, winner of the Davis Cup, and St. Luke's, which won the Devonport Shield. The first rounds of championships will be .played at several golf clubs, including the Auckland, Maungakiekie and Akarana Clubs, while the championships will be advanced at North Shore and Pupuke. An open tournament will be commenced at the Glendowie Club and will be continued on Monday. At Titirangi, the first round of the veterans' handicap Will be decided. A race for the Cotter Cup over 15 miles will be held by the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club, and the Auckland Club will hold a 20 miles' road race. Basketball games will include senior grade A and B matches.
