MAMOS AND DETTON Fine wrestling is expected at the Town Hall on Monday evening, when Harty Mamos and Dean Detton will meet under the control of the Auckland Wrestling Association. Detton will make his first appearance in Auckland, but the record ho brings 250 wins out of 300 contests, should find himn ready welcome. A graduate of Utah University, Detton has been wrestling as a professional for. five yearß. His age is 25 years and he weighs about 13st Bib. Among those over whom ho trained decisions are Alley. Kilonis, Thve. Martin Ludecke and Abe Coleman, while ho has wrestled one draw with EkUmd. Hi; opponent. Mamos, has proved himself a matman above the ordinary by forcing George Walker to a draw at the Town Hall recently. This will be the second occasion on which the pair have met in New Zealand, the match in Wellington last Wednesday in a draw. KARASICK AND THOMPSON [from our own'" correspondent] HAMILTON, Friday A 1 Ivaraaick and Texas Thompson _ will meet in a bout arranged by the Waikato Wrestling Association in tho Theatre Royal, Hamilton, next Thursday evening. Karasick earned great popularity locally at his recent match with Mamoa in Hamilton, and, as Thompson has shown himself a wrestler of no mean ability, an exciting contest is anticipated.
