WOMAN'S COOL THEFT
A jewel robbery remarkable for its daring has, just been committed in France. M. Andre Clerc and his family, who occupy a villa on the sea ' front, were astonished while sitting there at lunch recently to see a woman whom they did not know walk out of their house. It was discovered soon afterwards that the upper rooms had been ransacked and that jewellery worth £BOO had disappeared. Police inquiries show that immediately after leaving the villa the woman met a man at the first street corner and handed him a packet. Both of tliem i took a bus for a neighbouring town.. .
