CARD EVENING

-An evening in aid of the Papatoetoe Croquet Club was held in the pavilion on Tuesday, when progressive bridgo and 500 were played. Mrs. W. Cutforlh and Mis. J. Paisley were the hostesses, and ari enjoyable evening was spent. The winners of fhe card tournaments were: - Bridge. Mrs. Ross and Mr. I*. fJurnsidc; 500. Mis. Foss and Mr. A. A. Civil.
