WALKER BEATS THOMPSON EXCITING MATCH AT GISBORNE [BY ' TELEORArH—rUESS ASSOCIATION] GISBORNE. Friday Exciting wrestling was witnessed tonight when George Walker defeated Texas Thompson by two falls to one. The first round was even, but Thompson obtained the first fall in the second round with a body scissors. The third round was fujl of action and Walker threw his opponent all over the ring with a series of headlocks, eventually securing a fall with a double jack-knife, after his opponent became very groggy. Thompson fought hard in the fourth and t both men indulged in hearty slapping. The end cam© unexpectedly in the fifth. Thompson slammed Walker hard five times in succession, but Walker ducked the next attempt, and secured the winning fall with a cradle hold.
