MOTOR-CYCLIST INJURED

COLLISION WITH CAR CONDITION FAIRLY SERIOUS Serious injuries were received by a motor-cyclist, Mr. Eric Roberts, aged 26, of 13 Hill Street, Newmarket, as the result of a collision . with a motor-car on the Great South Road, at the Harp of Erin, shortly before midnight last night. Mr. Roberts, who is employed by the Australian Glass Manufacturers' Company, Limited, Penrose, was proceeding to work on night shift and was just past the tram terminus when he collided with the car,. which was travelling in the opposite direction. The cycle struck the side of the car and Mr. Roberts was thrown against it. The injured man was taken to the Auckland Hospital by the St. John ambulance. His injuries consisted of concussion, a fracture of the jaw and a severe cut on the head. His condition was reported to be fairly serious at an early hour this morning.
