CHALLENGER KNOCKED OUT (Received September 20, 5.5 p.m.) PANAMA, Sept. 10 A 1 Brown (New York), world's champion bantam-weight boxer, retained the title this evening when he knocked out Emil Pladner (France) in the first round of a contest at Panama.

At the Sydney Stadium last evening Clyde Chastian gained another victory, obtaining a points decision over " Tiger " Payne in a 12-round bout which was splendidly contested.
