BUILDING SOCIETY'S YEAR whangarei ORGANISATION [FROM OUR OWN* CORK KSPON DENT] WHANGAREI, Thursday The annual general meeting of the Whangarei Co-operative Terminating Building Society was held last evening, the president, Mr. H. W- Crawford, presiding over a poor attendance of members. In proposing the adoption of the report and balance-sheot, already published, Mr. Crawford said that in common with other businesses, the past year had been a hard olio. Nevertheless the ■ society had had a remarkably successful year. The profit was £751, compared with £lOl6 for the previous year. 'Messrs. R. G. Ilosking and W. J. Orr, who retired by rotation from the directorate, were re-elected unopposed. Mr. F. L. Gunn was re-elected auditor.
