INDUCTION OF MINISTER

MT. ALBERT PRESBYTERIANS

The induction of the Rev. R. E. Evans to tlio pastorale of the Mount Albert Presbyterian Church took place last evening. Thero "was a very large gathering of the congregation and members of the Auckland Presbytery. The Rev. G. Budd, Moderator of Presbytery, presided. The interim moderator, the Rev. W. Gilmour, referred to the steps taken by the congregation in calling Mr. Evans to the church and sported that the call had been signed by 154 members out of a total membership of 138, as well as by 23 adherents. The nature of the call indicated the whole-hearted co-operation of the congregation and Mr. Evans, who had completed a successful 10 vears' ministry at Hawera, should be able to render considerable service in his wider sphera.
