ROAD RACES IN AUCKLAND MANUKAU CLUB'S EVENTS Bright Bpring weather prevailed on Saturday, when the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club conducted two road- event® over its circuit at Avondale South. The Junior event, over two laps, fivo miles, attracted 11 riders. Wheclhouse won tbe eveijt comfortably by 20 yards from Dwight,' with Davies finishing nine seconds later. The placed juniors were:—G. H. Wheelhouse (lm 308), 14m 40s, 1; A. H. Dwight (2m 15a), 15m 275, 2; H. R. Davies (4m 15s), 17m 86s, 3; A Davies (2m 15s), 15 m 465, 4. E. L. G. Hughes, scr, established fastest time in 14m 15s. The senior race, of 15 miles, was con. tested by a field of 16 riders. The virtual scratch men, Robinson and Baird, off 45a, conceded the limit man, English, a start of 7m 15s. The race was won by 3orland, who finished 22 seconds ahead of English, with Andrews a further 42 seconds behind.
