CITY MEN CHARGED

A THEATRE TRANSACTION COMPLETE ANSWER PROMISED SYDNEY, Sept. 5 Three well-known city men, Messrs. W. J. Curtis, K.C., Hugh D. Mcintosh and E. Covell, were charged to-day on the information of Mr. A. J. Parsons, liquidator of Kickards Tivoli Theatres, with having, while directors of the Tivoli Company, misapplied a cheque for £13,570, also with conspiring to deal fraudulently with the theatre property. , Counsel for the defene'e said that complete answers could be given on all the matters mentioned. The hearing was adjourned till September 19 in order that certain information may be afforded tho defence.
