NANKING, Sept. 3 Reports received by tho Government from all parts of China in regard to the cholera epidemic reveal an alarming situation. The outbreak is the worst in the history of tho country, although it is declining now. Sixteen provinces and 200 cities are affected. Tho death rate is 27.5 per cent. Dealers in coffins cannot copo with the demand. In somo instances tho entire populations of villages have perished. Tho outbreak of the disease is believed to be the sequel to last year's floods. Bubonic plague in the Shansi province is spreading with alarming rapidity.
