HOSPITAL CONCERT

The weekly concert, arranged by Mrs. Kaeburn and Mr. A. Hamblin was given in Ward 4 of the Public Hospital on Wednesday evening. The concert was under the direction of Miss Gladys Barton and a very, enjoyable programme was given, the ward being crowded with patients. The items consisied of songs, pianoforte solos, recitations, monologues and humorous items. Those taking part were Miss Clarice Pope and Miss Veronica Pope, pianoforte solos; Mrs. Balfe, Miss E. Meredith, Mr. T. G. Moorecroft and Master Bert Eccles, humorous items: Beatrice Balfe and Pat Lind, dancing; Miss Gladys Barton, Miss Ailsa Ballantvne. Mr. D.'E. Thomas and Miss Olive Thomas, songs. Miss Pope was tho accompanist.
