MAMOS BEATS THOMPSON [BY TELEGRAPH PHESS ASSOCIATION] DUNEDIN. Sunday In a wrestling contest last evening Harry Mamos' (13st 6lb), defeated Tommy Thompson (14st). Thompson was unable to continue after tho sixth round. Thompson secured a fall in the fourth round with a body scissors and an arm bar, following a series of head-locks. In the sixth round it appeared that Thompson was about to secure a second fall when Mamos, though held in a head scissors, lifted him bodily and, whirling him round tho ring, dumped him heavily to tho mat to secure a fall with a body press. Thompson iniured his shoulder in the fall and was unable to continue. There was an attendance of about 1500.
