SMALL BOY SHOT
WOUND IN THE NECK PLAYING WITH A RIFLE [from our own correspondent] HAMILTON, Sunday Through tho accidental discharge of a .303 rifle a child, named Malcolm Sutherland, aged five years, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland, of Tuhikaramea, was severely wounded in the neck early, yesterday afternoon.The child was playing with a 14-year-old boy when the rifle they were handling discharged. The injured child was admitted to the Waikato Hospital in a serious condition. He has since improved.
