INJURED FOOTBALLERS
SIX PLAYERS IN HOSPITAL NONE IN SERIOUS CONDITION Six football players received injuries daring matches played on Saturday which necessitated their admission to the Auckland Hospital. None is in a serious condition. Three youths, Basil Hart, aged 18, of Esmonde Road, Takapuna, Jack Francis, aged 21, of 27 Sheehan Street, Ponsonby, and Ivan Cleal, aged 19, of 12 Allenby Road, Devonport, received concussion and were taken to the hospital by the St. John ambulance. Other concussion cases were John Speight, aged 24, of 30 Grafton Road, and Donald Elliott, aged 23, of 77 Prospect Terrace, Dominion Road. Frederick Leslie Ryan, aged 21, of 134 Wellesley Street West, received a fracture of the nose.
