ATHENIAN CLUB

A "Scotch night" was given at the Athenian Club on Saturday. The stage was decorated to represent a traditional Scotch room, and old Scottish music was played by tho Pipe Band. The hostesses were Mrs. E. Noy and Mrs. Walter Patterson. The former wore a frock of black mariette and lace and the latter Atlantic blue satin. The programme included vocal and instrumental items, Scotch reels and sword dances. The two latter were given by Miss Jessie McLaughlin, Miss Dorothy Searle, Miss B. Saul, Miss L. Court, Miss Connie McLeod, and Mr. Colin McLeod. Among those present were Mrs. V. 11. Trask, Mrs. C. H. Bell, Mrs. W. Deverson, Mrs. F. C. Bailey, Mrs. W. Curtis, Mrs. T.
