PHOTOGRAPHIC CONTEST
MEW ZEALAND CLUBS FIRST PLACE TO AUCKLAND For the second year in succession, the Camera Club has gained first place in the New Zealand inter-club annual photographic competition. This year the competition was held in Wellington, and six clubs were represented, each entering 12 pictures. The results are as follows:—Auckland, 1141 points; 1; Invercargill, 1095 points, 2; Dunedin, 1065 points, 3; Wellington, 1050 points, 4; Christchurch, 985 points, 6; Hamilton, 906 points, 6. The pictures were described by the judges as being of outstanding merit, and the exhibition is probably the finest collection of New Zealand pictorial photographic work ever assembled. The champion picture was shown by Mr., E. C. Lackland, of Auckland. It is an excellent example, of bromoil transfer entitled, "Shortland Street," and gained B8 marks out of the possible 100. The collection of photographs will be on view ip Auckland early next month.
