Saturday A decision that a recommendation be mad# to the New Zealand Amateur Athletic and Cycling Association that a marathon bs staged yearly at a time and place as arranged later was reached at .the conference of harriers' delegates held in Christchurch last evening. - A further motion wa3 carried recommend- • ing that the Wellington centre be asked to arrange the first marathon, and to pay all expenses for it and take all revenue from it. The council will provide championship medals. By a majority vote it was decided that tlie marathon be run between October 1 and the second week in November each year.
