CHARGE OF THEFT
GOVERNMENT OFFICER NATIVE AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT [BY TELEGRAPJI— TOESS ASSOCIATION] WELLINGTON, "Saturday An officer of the Native Affairs Department, Waratana Renata Ngahana, was charged to-day with the theft, between October 11, 1926, and July 7, 1932, of £602 0s sd, tho property of the Government. Accused was remanded to appear next Wednesday. It was stated that ho had given the police every assistance, but there were still some further investigations to be made. Bail was fixed at £650.
