ALLEGED THEFT OF CAR
YOUNG MAN TO BE CHARGED
PASSENGER BY ZEALANDIA
When the steamer Zealandia arrived from Sydney yesterday morning a young man, who was ordered to lie deported from Australia last week, was taken into custody on a charge of stealing a motorcar, valued at £SOO, on August 7. Tho car, which was the property of Miss Elizabeth McGovern, of Remuera, was found burned after it disappeared. The arrested man will be brought before the Police Court this morning and it is understood that he will be remanded to appear next Monday, when similar charges will be heard against two other young men who were arrested last week.
