PAST MOTOR-CAR
ATTACK ON THE RECORD
MAY BE IN NEW ZEALAND
LONDON", Aus. 15 Captain Irving, the designer of the late Sir Henry Segrave's car Golden Arrow, backed by a group of financiers, is building a new car guaranteed to reach a speed of 285 miles an hour. In this Captain Alastair Miller will attempt to break Sir Malcolm Campbell's record of 254 miles an hour.
Captain Miller says he hopes to pass 300 miles an hour. If the car is ready by February the attempt will be made at Daytona Beach, Florida, but otherwise it will be on the Ninety-Mile Beach, New Zealand.
