In the. South Australian amateur golf championships to-day South Australia defeated Victoria, 5 to 2. The RymillWhitton game was • the feature of the match and proved thrilling, the South Australian triumphing at the 19th hole. A 20ft. putt by Whitton jumped out. Sawers overcame Williams, 4 and 2j Cheadle defeated Morpeth, 1 up. New South Wales beat South Australia, 5 to 2. Bettington beat Rymill, 1 up.
In the professional class, Victoria defeated New South Wales, 4 to 2, one being all square. Victoria defeated South Australia, 4 to 2, one being all square. Toogood did the last nine holes in 33. Victoria won the Vicars Shield.
