A REQUEST
Dear Garden-Lovers, —l have a little garden of my own, but just at present a very few flowers are blooming. A few weeks ago 1 planted some sweet-pea seeds and now some little shoots are peeping up above the ground. My marigolds and calendulas are flowering well this year. The blooms are much bigger than last year's. Would anyone please send me a few tulip or ixia bulbs in exchange for some Sweet William plants and sunflower seeds?— Another garden-lover, Olive Pearson, Oue, Hokianga (age 11). [I am afraid it is too lato now to uend Olive any bulbs, but perhaps gardenlovers have something else they can send ?]
