ADMIRER OF CROMWELL
Cromwell is still a name to conjure with in the British House of Commons. Mr. Isaac Foot, tho British Minister of Mines, says the London diarist of the Evening Standard, contrives to mention tho Omit Protoctor in almost every speech he delivers. In official handbooks the address of the Ministry of Mines is given as " Dean Stanley Street, Westminster." Tho premises used to bo known as Cromwell House, and a' former Minister of Mines—Lord Bridgcinan, it is whispered —cut out the designation. " Cromwell House," however, remained on the floor of one of the vestibules, but was usually hidden by a mat. Mr. Foot, having made these discoveries, intends to use " Cromwell House" on the official notepaper. Truly a token of devotion to one's hero.
