ESCAPE FROM FIRE
DWELLING DESTROYED NOTHING SAVED FROM FLAMES [by TELEGRAPH —OWN correspondent] THAMES. Thursday A six-roomed house nt Matatoki Road, owned and occupied by Mr. Jack Price, was destroyed by fire shortly after three o'clock this morning. Mr. and Mrs. Price and their two children were awakened by smoke and escaped only in their night attire. The flames spread rapidly and soon enveloped the building, which was doublestoreyed. Mr. Price had a valuable library and all the books, as well as the furniture and effects, were destroyed.
