OTAHUHU HIGH SCHOOL
IMPROVEMENTS TO GROUNDS ACTIVITIES OF COMMITTEE The first meeting of the recently reelected School Committee of the Otahuha Junior High School wasi held this week. Mr. C. R. Petrio was re-elected chairman, and Mr. A. K. Murray, secretary. A grounds committee \yas appointed to carry out improvements to the playing fields and grounds. It was reported that the excavation and levelling of the playing area had been commenced with unemployed labour. As this would be a lengthy work, an acre of ground had been x ploughed and reserved for the use of the agricultural class. The boys proposed to plant vegetables and hand the proceeds from their sale to the school sports fund. The laying down of the cricket field in grass was also to bo put in hand | immediately.
