TRADE WITH OVERSEAS / . A brief discussion on trade agreements took place at a meeting of the council of the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday, when the council was considering a proposal to send a remit to the conference of the Associated Chambers, to bo held in October, concerning trade agreements with Australia. Mr. Harvey Turner said he thought the Australian tariffs needed looking into. Mr. \V. A. Boucher moved that a remit be sent forward urging the Government to •xplore alsd,/ if necessary, trade- agreements with countries outside the Empire. The motion was carried.
