Moore-Jones, of Sydney, who has 'been visiting New Zealand and Suva, will return to Australia by the Maunganui to-day. v Mr; W. G. Wohlmann, Commissioner of Police, who returned to Auckland on Monday after a visit of inspection to Whangarei, left for Wellington last evening. Dr W J Worboys, of Imperial Chemical Industries, Ltd", who reached Wellington from England last Monday, arrived in Auckland yesterday. He is accompanied bv Dr H E* Annett, research officer for the firm in New Zealand, and they are at the Grand Hotel. Dr E. P. Neale, secretary of the Auck-. land' Chamber of Commerce, has been appointed to represent the New Zealand branches of the Economic Society of Australia and New Zealand at the a:imual meeting of the central council ot the to be held in Sydney next month. He will leave on August 8 and will be absent for three weeks. He will also visit , the Chambers of Commerce of Sydney ' and Melbourne. While in Australia Dr. Neale will attend the biennial meeting of the Australasian Association for the Advancement of Science- and will read a paper on the depression as it affects New Zealand.
