elderly couple MARRIED CEREMONY IN AUCKLAND " / A wedding in which a bridegroom 70 years old was married to a bride of 69 took place in Auckland last evening. The bride was Mrs. M. C. Sly, of Calgary Street, Sandringham, and tho groom was Mr. Edwin Willcock, recently of Henderson. Mrs. Willcock, who will be 69 years old in November, has resided in Auckland for 24 years. She formerly -lived in Kawakawa, North Auckland, for a number of years. She is well known in the Sandringham district as a teacher of music, and to the time of her marriage still had a number of pupils. Mr. Willcock, who was a widower, farmed near Kaikohe, in the North Auckland district, for. several years, nntil his retirement, and then went to live at Henderson. He celebrated his 70th birthday a fortnight ago. The wedding service, which was conducted by the Rev. P. L. Crompton, of Sandringham, took place at the home of Mrs. Willcock's son, Mr. W. L. Sly, of Tamnata Road, Sandringham. Mr. and Mrs. Willcock expect to reside in Auckland.
