DISPUTE ON STEAMER ENDS.
L A SETTLEMiENT REACHED.
[BY TELEGRAPH. —PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] WELLINGTON, Tuesday.
A settlement has been reached in the dispute that caused the coastal steamer John to be laid up at Wellington.' The John arrived at Wellington last Thursday from New Plymouth, and, because of labour trouble, the crew was paid off. i The John will leave Wellington within the next few days for Southern, ports.
The. trouble was staled to have been due originally to the refusal cf a fireman to follow the master's instructions as to hours of work.
