TEAM IN SOUTH AMERICA.
A South African Rugby football team is about to play matches in the Argentine. It was due at Buenos Aires last week. The team, with Mr. Paul Roos as manager, does not include any members of the side which recently visited the Home countries, although alt the present tourists took part in the Springbok trials. The following players were selected to go to the Argentine:—Fullbacks, D. Jordaan, J. Vlok; wing-threequarters, J. Gage, G. Cunningham, R. Elliott; centres, R. Cornell, P. McCarty (vice-captain), I. Townsend ; halfbacks, B. Nolte, K. Moodie, A. Smit, R. Cheshire; forwards, J. Nykamp (captain), H. Wardrop, J. Seymour, G. Dalton, L. Hattings, W. Wolheim, M. Rest, J. Gillett, J. Robertson, J. Apsey, A. Gericke. Were any of the above unable to make the tour their places were to be filled from the following reservesßacks, J. Dudley, H. Joubert; forwards, L. van der Merwe, J. Leibrand, J. Viljoen, 8. van Wyk, A. Wood. 4
