AUCKLAND TEAM SELECTED.
INCLUSION OF A. E. COOKE.
TRIAL MATCH ARRANGED. The Auckland Rugby League decided yesterday to play several trial matches next Saturday instead of the club fixtures postponed last Saturday. In the principal game South Auckland, holders of the Northern Union Challenge Cup, will meet the Auckland representative team. Providing the local team gives satisfaction the sanio combination is likely to play against England, A curtain raiser between Possibles and Probables teams will also bo played. Following are the teams: — AUCKLAND. Fullback.—Campbell (Marist). Threequarters.—List (Maiist), Davidson (City), L. Scott (Devcmport). .Five-eighths.—Brisbane (Marist), Cooke (Richmond). Halfback.—Mclntyre (Ponsonby). Forwards,—Hutt (Ponsonby), Campbell (Marißt), Clarke (City), Lawless (Richmond), Hall (Newton), Clarke (Marist). Probables.—Fullback, Wateno (City); threequarters, Crooks (Newton), Laing (Devonport), Thompson (Ponsonby); fiveeighths, Prentice (.Richmond), R. Smith (Devonport); halfback, Peckham (City); forwards, Telford (Richmond), St. George (Newton), Casey (Devonport), Ruby (Devonport), McLeay (Ponsonby), Iveson (Marist). Possibles.—Fullback, Delgrosso; threequarters, Meehan (Mariet), Seagar (Devonport), McDonald (Marist); five-eighths, Brimble (Newton), O'Donnell (Devonport); halfback, Hassan (Marist): forwards. Simpeon (Devonport), Stevens (Ponsonby), Fagan (Ponsonby), Kirkup (Newton), Hobbs (City). E. Scott (Devonport). Reserves for both teams. —Leatherbarrow (Devonport), Sowter (Devonport), Oliff (Devonport), A. Pope (Newton), Johns (Richmond). Bright and Lunn were not available owing to injuries. Any player who is unavailable is requested to notify Mr E. Asher immediately. All teams will train at Carlaw Park to-morrow evening at 7.30 o'clock. Reserves for the Auckland team will be chosen from the Probables or Possibles should any be required.
