OPERA SINGER'S RETURN.

FORMER WANGANUI RESIDENT] HOLIDAY VISIT TO DOMINION. After three years in Italy, during which she has studied music > and appeared in grand opera, Signora Marotta, formerly Miss Eva Webb-Jones, of .Wanganui, returned to New Zealand yesterday by the Maunganui. She is accom* panied by her husband, Signor Nino Marotta, to whom she was married four years ago when he was a member of th» Toti del Monte Opera Company. They will spend a six months' holiday in the Dominion.

Signora Marotta studied singing for some time at the Sydney Conservatorium.* After her marriage she completed her musical studies at Milan, under Maestro Rossi, director of the Imperial Gr'and Opera Company, and three months ago made her debut in grand opera.
