AUCKLAND CUP STAKES. The Auckland Coursing Club will open its fourth carnival of the season on the Otahuhu enclosure, Mangere Crossing, on Wednesday next at one o'clock, when the first and second rounds of the Auckland Cup Stakes will be run off. Among the entrants from outside the metropolitan area are greyhounds owned by Messrs. J. Hannan (Wangaehu), R. Gibson ("Wellington), L. Buckenham (Hawera), B. Sainsbury (Waihi), C. Martelli, seu. (Elstow), M. Flay (Te Aroha),' E. Goldsworthy (Hamilton). H. Solomon (Frankton), F. Healey (Urenui), F. Johnsen (Whakatane), T. Cronin (Waikato), J. A. Steele (Bucklnnd). Mrs. K. Smardon (Herriesville) and Miss Ida Moore (Hamilton). The draw will take place at- Dalgety's Buildings, Albert Street, this evening, when all members and officers are expected to attend. WATERLOO CUP CONTEST. WHITEHAVEN' WINS WELL. (Received July 3, 7.45 p.nj.) SYDNEY. July 3. The Australasian Waterloo Cup at Toowoomba was won. by Whitehaven (New South Wales) by a comfortable margin. Dawn Lock was runner-up.
