GOVERNOR'S ADMIRATION.
WELFARE OF YOUNG PEOPLE.
; A tribute to the school teachers of New Zealand was paid by the Governor-General, 'Lord Blediske, when replying to the welcome extended to him and to the Lady Bledisloe at Cambridge on Saturday. His Excellency had referred to &e need, inthesie times of unemployment, of keeping the young people of tho Dominion engaged with their hands, oyes and minds, so as to prevent them from drifting into idleness. He added : " I wish to take the opportunity of expressing my admiration of the work the teachers of the schools, of .all gi-ades, are doing, for the benefit, of the nation."
