ROAD FROM CANTERBURY.
WORK TO BE RESUMED

Work will be resumed shortly on tho Lewis Pass highway, which is to link Canterbury with the West Coast. Two hundred single men will be employed on tho work and will go into camp on the Canterbury side.
The road runs from behind Ilanmer Springs and through the country uear the headwaters of tho Waiau River. A little over 17 miles of road have still to be formed on tho Canterbury side of the pass.
