ANXIETY FOR FISHERMEN.
LAUNCH TWO DAYS OVERDUE. ARRANGEMENTS FOR SEARCH. [from oetr own correspondent.] WHANGAREI. Friday. Anxiety is felt for the safety of Mr. Frank Glucina and his mate, Mr. Alach, who left Whangarei last Sunday in Mr. Glucina's launch Sadie for tho fishing grounds near the Hen and Chickens Islands, nine miles east from Whangarei Heads. Before leaving Mr. Glucina notified his intention of returning on Wednesday. As a result of the non-appearance of the launch to-day Captain W. R. Patterson's launch Eva was despatched this afternoon for the Hen and Chickens to make a search. It would be after dark before the Eva reached the locality and it is therefore not expected that any effective search can be carried out until after daylight to-morrow.
Mr. Glucina has been accustomed to fish in the locality for the past 20 years. The weather has been favourable during the week.
