USE OF MORE WOOL.

MOVEMENT IN SYDNEY. SOCIAL LEADERS' ACTIVITIES. Woolgrowers should be pleased with tho social leaders of Sydney. They are bent upon making the general public "wool conscious."- A little time ago, says a correspondent, there were constant requests that the people of Australia should become "air conscious"; now the demand has changed. The women responded to the appeal on each occasion. They are determined that much more wool shall be used. The knitting observed everywhere) under varying conditions indicates that the resolution has been adopted generally. The Wool Ball is another means of creating the consciousness, or, at least, of extending it. It seems to be necessary to have a ball to impress the public mind. Party political policies are the exception. "Use more wool," is national policy, and, therefore, it is entitled to general support.

Many bales of wool will be employed in decorating the Sydney Town Hall for the Wool Ball promoted by the Country Women's Association. It will be held on June 28. Perhaps some of the wool 'will bo left in tho bales, although much will bo spread about. The hall will be mado to look like a woolshed. The women will wear wigs of carded wool, and all dancers will join in the singing of bush songs to create the right atmosphere.
