[KHOM ovn OWN rOHTVERPONPENT. 1 TE AWAMUTU, Friday. Reports at 'ho annual meeting of the To Awn unit 11 Horticultural Society showed that both the spring and autumn shows liad been very successful. Th« interest displayed by tho country districts in the shield competitions were especially pleasing features. Tho balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £27.
Tho election of officers resulted Pat - ron, Mr. C. G. Downes; president, Mr. A. J. Shepherd; vice-presidents, Mrs. G. Hall (Ilairini), L. Eyro (Kihikihi), and Messrs. W. H. Davis and M. H. Williams; treasurer, Mrs. H. Y. Collins; secretary, Mr. M. Williams. A representative committee was elected. It was decided to hold the spring show 011 September 15 and 16.
