PLEA TO A CHURCH.
" LET BYGONES BE BYGONES." " I seo no renson why bygones should not be bygones," saic! Mr. K. H. Errington, Chancellor of the Diocese of London, giving judgment on May 7 in a consistory court. "it is a good thing," he said " that the parties have had their say in open court. Linen washed iin public iti at least washed." Four parishioners had petitioned foir a faculty to remove a crucifix and six candlesticks which they contended had been illegally introduced into St. Saviour's Church, llampstead. They were opposed by the vicar, the Rev. C. A. S. Lux-moore-Ball, and by the churchwardens and the parochial council. The Chancellor confirmed the plating in the church of two crucifixes, and villi regard to the six candlesticks he confumed the placing of two on the retiible above the altar, and he would not require the removal of the otiier four fron; the chinch provided he had a satisfactory undertaking by Mr. Luxmoore-Ball as to their use. He directed the vicar and opponents of the petition to pay threequarters of the taxed costs of the proceedings.
