SNOOKER TOURNAMENT.
The first round of the Auckland hotels' snooker tournament was played on Lionday. Tho Prince of Wales team, 976 points, defeated tho Victoria team, 746. Included in the Prince of Wales team were D. Fredatovich, New Zealand champion, and five other prominent players. Tho Princo of Wales team will play representatives of "the Prince. Arthur Hotel on Thursday evening.
