HARRIER RACING.
COMBINED CLUBS' EVENTS. The Technical College Old Boys' Athletic Club unci the Calliope Harriers lie <1 a combined run at Birkenhead on Saturday, when about 70 runners took part. The course iv a a over 10 miles of rough country, which was heavy after rain. During the run rain act in. with the result that the relay run and the run-in were abandoned. After the rain the Technical Club was entertnined bv the Calliope Club nt afternoon tea Mr. Patterson, president of the Calliope Club, welcomed the visitors, and Mr C Chambers, vice-president of tie Technical Old Boys' Club. _ thanked the Calliope Club for its hospitality. He then mesen ted S. .T. Oudsell. 0 TTill and A. \fooii with badges for attendance during ihe previous harrier season, none of the lliree members having missed a run. LYNN DALE CLUB. The Lynndale riarrier Club held a road run from New T.ynri to C.len Eden and back on Saturday. Conditions were bad. several I'ailstorms beinrr encountered. A run-in over -100 yds resulted as follows:—P. McGregor scr, 1; A. Brown, scr, 2; J Dolan. tcr. 3.' UNIVERSITY CLUB'S RUN. I'he University Harrier Club held a run ■in Saturday afternoon, from St. John's College to Clen Innes railway station, over Mount Wellington, and back by Lake St. John. Tie course was very wet and owing to the bad weather conditions the packs had separate runs-in. resulting as follows: Slow Pack. —Plowman, 1: Goodwin. 2: McElroy. 3. . Fast Pack.—Graham. 1; Goodwin, 2; Skyrme, 3; Watson, 1: Sims. 5
HAMILTON CLUB. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Sunday. The three miles junior championship of the Hamilton Harriers' Club was held at Te Rapa yesterday, and resulted as follows: T?. Coombes, 1; D. Silvester, 2; C. Green. 3. Time, loin 50s.
